Re:The different towers - 2007/03/17 14:38
We stayed in the Havana Tower in November. It was definitely nice, but not worth the extra 100.00 to stay there. If you are looking to hang out in the quarter, this is a good tower to stay in. You do have to walk through the quarter to get to any gambling though.
In March 2007, we stayed in the south tower, and we managed to get an upgrade to a suite. The view was beautiful and the room was very spacious. We were told that there would be a bed, and a couch in the room, but was only a bed. Since there were three of us, we had to rent a cot, which costs 25.00. From what I understand, the cot was pretty comfortable, and, since the room was so spacious, the cot was not at all in the way. We also had a small size refrigerator, which was good for saving leftovers from Carmines restaurant.
If you are looking for a great place to eat in the quarter, you have to go to PF Chang. A warning though, if you eat there, you will never think that anyone else's Chinese food is good, ever again. The first time we went there, we thought the food was great. A few days later, after returning home, we ordered Chinese food in, since we still had the taste for it, thanks to PF Chang. Anyway, once we got the food and ate it, we realized that we were ruined, and nothing would ever compare to PF Chang's!!!!!
We will be going back for the air show in August, and we will be staying at Tropicana. More updates to come.
